Hayley Carmichael is a British actress and theatre director whose work spans TV, film and theatre. She most recently appeared in The BBC drama Our Zoo and is the co-founder of the critically acclaimed theatre company Told By An Idiot. She won the TMA and Time Out awards in 1999 for Best Actress for her performances in I Weep at my Piano, Mr Puntilla and The Dispute.

Stéphane Olry is an autodidact whose writing and productions have been staged all over France (Espace Pierre Cardin, Usine Pali-Kao, Théâtre de la Bastille, Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord). Stéphane founded la Revue Éclair in 1987 and has been working with Corine Miret since 1998 on developing work inspired through archival research and their own detective enquiries. ‘Treize Semaines de Vertu’ (Thirteen Weeks of Virtue) and ‘HIC SUNT LEONES’ have been published by the Éditions de l’Amandier.

Sandrine Buring was a gymnast, footballer, barmaid, florist and veterinary assistant before establishing herself as a choreographer and dancer. She has collaborated on a number of productions with La Revue Éclair and with other theatre companies (Théâtre à Grande Vitesse, Mandrake). She also regularly collaborates with visual artist Nicolas Cesbron. Sandrine is a specialist of body mind centering.

Phil Minton played trumpet and sang with the Mike Westbrook Band in the early 60s- Then in dance and rock bands in Europe for the later of part of the decade. He returned to England in 1971, rejoining Westbrook and was involved in many of his projects until the mid 1980′s. For most of the last forty years, Minton has been working as an improvising singer in diverse groups, orchestras, and artistic presentations. Numerous composers have written music especially for his extended vocal techniques. He has a quartet with Veryan Weston, Roger Turner and John Butcher, and ongoing duos, trios and quartets with above and many other musicians. Since the 1980s, his Feral Choir, where he voice-conducts workshops and concerts for anyone who wants to sing, has performed in over twenty countries.

Neil Bartlett (translation) is a theatre, opera and music director, a performer, and a writer of books, plays and adaptations. As a director, Neil Bartlett has made work for (amongst others) the National, the Royal Court, The Royal Shakespeare Company, the Lyric Hammersmith, The Abbey in Dublin, the Traverse in Edinburgh , The Manchester Royal Exchange, the Bristol Old Vic  and the Derby and Nottingham Playhouses; in the US, he has directed for the Goodman, Chicago, the American Repertory Theatre in Boston, the Berkeley Rep and Theatre for a New Audience in New York. He has also staged his own work in many less conventional venues, including the London Hospital, The Vauxhall Tavern and Southwark Cathedral.

Luc Jenny trained at the Ecole Supérieure d’Art Dramatique du Théâtre National de Strasbourg. His work as a lighting designer spans theatre, dance, opera, concerts and exhibitions. He recently participated in lighting the Mont St Michel and regularly works with German artist Antonia Baehr. In theatre Luc has collaborated with French directors Bernard Bloch, François Rancillac and on numerous productions with Stéphane Olry, Corine Miret and la Revue Éclair.

Theatre of Europe commissions leading theatre directors from the continent with British creatives to premiere European work for a UK audience.
